10 things to remember when selecting your business photoshoot wardrobe.
LIFESTYLE PORTRAITS or BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY uses high-quality images to tell the story of your brand. These images tell the story of what you do and why you do it via detail shots, lifestyle shots, photos of you in action, your team/family/pets, your products, your business space, etc. The possibilities are endless and each session is customized to best reflect the type of business you run and the message you wish to convey about your brand.
Your outfit(s) make a huge impact in these photos so choose something that suits your personality and your brand. It can be overwhelming to choose what to wear so here are some tips!
Select both casual and business attire options.
Prepare at least 3-5 outfit options, as it will ensure you have enough variety in your final images.
Bring a few jacket/blazer/sweater options that can be added to an outfit, so you have further variety.
Avoid baggy clothing or ill fitting items.
Avoid clothing with logos or wording unless it’s your company logo or relevant to your brand.
Generally avoid extremely busy prints (unless it’s a paired with something simple to balance it out).
Select a variety of colours!
Skip close together pin stripes. It creates a distracting effect called “moire” on a screens.
Choose clothing you feel confident in!
If you want to see what an outfit might look like in photos, take a few selfies to decide what works and what doesn’t.

Don’t forget to bring a variety of footwear: boots, shoes, sandals, heels etc.
Lastly, accessories add personality and variety to your images, so pack a few things such as: sunglasses, jewelery, a watch, hat/ball cap or a scarf.
